Would you ever consider having a glass of fat?

No, we aren’t crazy, nor is this a joke. Recent research has demonstrated that having an easy take-away meal is the equivalent of consuming a nice glass filled with, you guessed it, pure filthy fat.

Ethnic food may appear a great idea for dinner, however every time you eat Chinese for example – a standard menu consisting of crispy duck, chicken balls and spring rolls – you are eating a lot more than you would imagine. That equates to, actually, to just under 3,000 calories (a lot more than what the typical man’s everyday intake should be) or around one hundred thirty grams of fat.

You don’t have to be a diet professional, a fitness trainer or a boot camp specialist to realise how incorrect that is. In the UK, it has been calculated that more than one in three individuals consume take away meals at least twice a week. And while all the ectomorphes out there need not to worry, for the others that might not be great news.

Take away meals (or, at this point, should it just be called ‘junk food’) is actually acceptable for the sporadic treat, but it shouldn’t become a regular habit. Individuals who practise all sorts of sports and exercises are doing the right thing, but many of them are not aware of the fact that by consuming the wrong type of food after practising, they’re just doing more damage than good.

Enjoy your green salad this evening. (And no sauce for you!)
